Rising Stars and Veteran Excellence: Leake Andersson Attorneys Earn Super Lawyers Honors 

We are thrilled to announce that three of our attorneys at Leake Andersson have been recognized by Super Lawyers 2025 in the category of Civil Litigation: Defense for their exceptional legal work in Louisiana. 

Donald E. McKay Jr. – Super Lawyers 

Donald McKay Jr., has been an attorney at Leake Andersson since the firm’s inception in 1987 and has been serving our clients with exceptional representation ever since. This year, Donald has been selected for the 2025 Super Lawyers list in the area of Civil Litigation: Defense. This recognition reflects his decades of experience and leadership in defending complex civil cases. Donald’s dedication to client advocacy and his strategic approach to litigation have earned him respect among peers and clients alike.  

Jamie F. Hickey – Rising Stars 

Associate Jamie Hickey has been named to the Super Lawyers, Rising Stars list for the fourth consecutive year. Jamie’s practice focuses on insurance defense, transportation, employment discrimination, and coverage. Her prior experience includes clerking for the 40th Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. John the Baptist. Jamie also served as Editor in Chief of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal during law school. Jamie’s commitment to pro bono work earned her the Jackson-Ryan Pro Bono Advocate Award.

Michael B. Guerry – Rising Stars 

Partner Michael Guerry has been recognized on the Super Lawyers, Rising Stars list for the second year in a row. Michael’s practice includes casualty, general commercial liability, environmental toxic tort, drug and medical device products liability, medical and pharmacy malpractice, products liability, premises liability, and transportation and trucking litigation. He has tried multiple cases in Louisiana State Court and has a growing federal litigation practice. Michael is actively involved in pro bono work. He has volunteered with the Pro Bono Project since 2020.
