Pro Bono Service in Action: Supporting Access to Legal Resources

Megan Haynes Volunteers at Jefferson Bar Association Expungement Clinic

Leake Andersson Partner Megan Haynes recently volunteered her time and legal experience at the Jefferson Bar Association Expungement Clinic. There, she helped members of the community navigate the expungement process.

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Johnny Jacobs Playground in Marrero, the clinic brought together volunteer attorneys, notaries, law students, and community members. The goal: to assist individuals seeking eligible expungements.

Providing Hands-On Legal Assistance

Throughout the clinic, Megan worked directly with participants to process eligible expungements. She spent the majority of the day helping community members complete the necessary steps and paperwork.

Expungement clinics provide an important opportunity for attorneys to put their legal knowledge to work in direct service to their communities. Clinics like these help individuals navigate a legal process that can otherwise be difficult to approach on their own.

Megan is pictured with Judge E. Adrian Adams and Judge Lee Faulkner of the 24th Judicial District Court, who also led and participated in the event.

Leake Andersson in the Community

Leake Andersson is proud of our attorneys who dedicate their time and experience to pro bono service and community involvement throughout Louisiana. We commend Megan and all of the attorneys, judges, law students, notaries, organizers, and volunteers who contributed their time to the clinic and helped make these legal resources accessible to members of the community.
