Shavon A. Fletcher is an Associate Attorney at Leake Andersson in the firm’s New Orleans office. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, labor & employment, insurance, and professional liability.

Shavon, a native New Orleanian, graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a dual Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Spanish. She later received her Juris Doctor in Civil Law from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in May 2024. Shavon was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2024.

During her time in law school, Shavon served as a staff member for Loyola’s Moot Court, held an executive board position as the Black Law Students Association’s SBA Representative during the 2022-2023 academic year, and represented employees as a Louisiana Supreme Court Rule XX Student Practitioner during the 2023-2024 academic year.

Before joining Leake, Shavon represented insureds, businesses, and insurance companies in general defense litigation with a focus on personal injury, property and casualty insurance, and professional liability.

Personal

In her free time, Shavon enjoys reading, traveling, practicing her Spanish, and supporting local businesses. She also serves as a mentor to female students interested in the legal profession through a local organization, DiversiTea Divas.
