Serving as coverage counsel for a regional insurer, L&A Partner Dean Arruebarrena obtained a defense verdict for his client via Involuntary Dismissal of a medical malpractice lawsuit filed in the 19th Judicial District Court for the Parish of East Baton Rouge.

The insurer provided a policy of insurance to a medical facility where the plaintiff had allegedly received tainted saline during the course of a cosmetic medical procedure. After 2 days of trial wherein plaintiff presented his evidence and witnesses were cross examined by defense counsel, all defendants including the insurer moved for an Involuntary Dismissal.  The Motion for Involuntary Dismissal was granted by the trial judge in favor of defendants and all costs were assessed against plaintiff.
