Please tell us about a favorite family vacation spot or an incredible trip you went on recently.

Last year, my wife and I went to the island of Maui, Hawaii. We relaxed on the beach, hiked, played golf, and explored most of the island. It doesn’t feel like a real place that exists on this earth. I can’t wait to go back.

Tell us how you like to spend your free time. Do you have any unique hobbies?

This past March, we had our first child, Julian, so a lot of time has been spent recently with her. My wife and I have been learning how to be parents and enjoying everything that parenthood has to offer. We had some rough weeks in the beginning, but it has been a joy to welcome her to our family.

What was your first concert or the best concert you’ve ever attended?

We saw Garth Brooks at LSU’s Tiger Stadium earlier this year. It was an incredible show and hearing him sing Callin’ Baton Rouge in Tiger Stadium may have been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Why did you decide to become a lawyer?

Admittedly, I watched the television legal drama, Suits, and thought the show made being a lawyer look pretty cool, so I went to law school. Obviously, being a lawyer in real life is nothing like television, but I enjoy the practice of law because it allows plenty of room for creativity while following a structure. It also allows opportunities to work with a variety of industries and businesses, where other professions may be limited to one. In my practice, I get to work with different businesses helping them to navigate risk and exposure in a multitude of circumstances.

Why do you choose to participate as an active ALFAI attorney?

Since my practice is generally limited to Louisiana, ALFAI allows the opportunity to meet people and network with attorneys in other states, where I normally wouldn’t have the opportunity to do so. It is like being a part of a larger firm without many of the large firm issues.
