Litigation Funding Arrangements Are Admissible

L&A Attorneys Craig Cousins and Katie Wollfarth recently secured a victory in the Louisiana 1st Circuit Court of Appeal. The Court granted their writ application in Minnie Dantzler v. Fantasia Delacerda, et al 2020-CV-1108 (12/30/2020) finding that evidence of the financial arrangement between Plaintiff’s litigation funding company and the plaintiff’s health care providers is admissible pursuant to La. C.E. art 607 for purposes of impeaching the credibility of Plaintiff’s treating physicians.
