Hunter J. Thibodeaux is an associate at Leake Andersson in the New Orleans office. His practice focuses on Casualty, Transportation, and Insurance.

Hunter graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in Mass Communication with a focus in Public Relations and a minor in Business Administration in 2020. He remained at LSU and attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center where he earned his Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law in 2023. Thereafter, he was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2023.

During his time in law school, Hunter developed his oral advocacy skills through a number of internal and external moot court competitions including the Manfred Lachs Space Law competition and the Phillip C. Jessup International Law competition. Hunter also served on the executive committee of LSU Law’s Board of Advocated during his 3L year. As a law student, Hunter gained hands-on experience as a student attorney under Supreme Court Rule XX while participating in the LSU Law Wrongful Conviction Clinic in Conjunction with the Innocence Project. Hunter also completed a judicial externship at the 19th Judicial District Court in Baton Rouge.

Before joining Leake, Hunter represented plaintiffs with a focus on personal injury claims.

Personal

In his free time, Hunter’s favorite things include spending time with his family and friends as well as his dog, Beverly. He enjoys playing tennis, cooking, traveling, and going out to eat at both to new and familiar restaurants.
