Grant J. Guillot has over 15 years of broad legal experience spanning litigation across multiple practice areas, transactions, regulatory compliance, and government relations.

He has excelled at engaging federal, state, and municipal officials to navigate legislative and regulatory challenges, negotiating high-value contracts, and crafting innovative policy solutions that advance business objectives in highly regulated industries.

Grant has provided legal and regulatory representation to aviation, education, electric utility, healthcare/pharmaceutical, telecommunications, water utility, and wastewater utility companies before federal, state, and municipal agencies and courts. He has led discussions between technology companies and prospective foreign government partners. Grant represents corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships in various matters, including breach of fiduciary duty claims, contract disputes, defense against regulatory investigations and other adverse actions, disputes among officers and directors, and preparation of corporate documents.

Prior to joining Leake Andersson, Grant was in-house counsel for a leading unmanned aircraft system/drone technology company and a partner at a large regional law firm where he started one of the nation’s first unmanned aircraft system/drone legal practices.

Personal

A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Grant enjoys spending time with his wife Amber and their three children. Grant is a guitar, bass, and piano player and enjoys performing music with his family.
