Gary Fagan is an associate attorney at Leake Andersson in the New Orleans office. His work currently includes matters involving insurance, casualty, and transportation.

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Gary earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from Louisiana State University in 2022. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor and Diploma in Comparative Law from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2025.

During law school, Gary gained practical experience through LSU’s Civil Mediation Clinic, where he successfully mediated a variety of both small claims and civil court cases. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Kelly Balfour at the 19th Judicial District Court, participated in a pre-trial litigation simulations with the Honorable Darrel J. Papillion, and competed in the Mock Flory Trials. In the summer of 2024, Gary clerked with Leake Andersson, assisting in insurance defense and civil litigation matters.

Before attending law school, Gary worked as a foreman in the heavy civil construction industry, where he oversaw roadway paving, drainage installation, and other infrastructure projects.

Personal

Gary recently relocated to New Orleans to begin his legal career. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and entertaining for friends, as well as working on cars and small engines.
