Taylor M. Bacques is an associate attorney with Leake & Andersson in the firm’s New Orleans office. His practice focuses primarily on the areas of insurance defense litigation and international trade and business matters.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Taylor returned to his hometown of New Orleans to earn his Juris Doctor and Civil Law Certificate from Tulane Law School. While at Tulane Law, Taylor completed a summer judicial externship with the Honorable Roland L. Belsome of the Louisiana Court of Appeal, Fourth Circuit, and a year-long judicial externship with the Honorable Greg G. Guidry, then of the Louisiana Supreme Court. Taylor also served as the head coach of Tulane’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Moot Court Team and was selected to be a member of the Order of Barristers upon graduating.

Prior to joining Leake & Andersson, Taylor represented clients in a wide array of transactional matters and practiced maritime defense litigation. Taylor is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
