Jessica Victoria Hidalgo is an associate with Leake & Andersson who joined the firm in 2021. Her practice primarily focuses on the areas of commercial litigation, insurance, labor and employment, and professional liability.

Jessica graduated cum laude in the Top 10 percent of her class at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, receiving both her Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship. While in law school, Jessica served as the Managing Editor of Substance and Citation for the Loyola Law Review. She was also a staff member on the Loyola Moot Court, a Technology and Legal Innovation Clinic student, Treasurer of the Association of Women Law Students, a Writing Clinic tutor, a teaching assistant for Dean María M. Pabón, a research assistant for Professor Emeritus of Law Gerard A. Rault, Jr., and a member of the St. Thomas More Inn of Court. Prior to law school, Jessica graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans’ College of Business and University Honors Program, receiving her Bachelor in Business Administration with a major in marketing.

Over her academic career, Jessica completed a year-long externship as a law clerk to the Honorable Carl J. Barbier at the Eastern District of Louisiana, as well as internships with the Honorable John J. Molaison, Jr. at the 24th Judicial District Court, the Orleans Parish City Attorney’s Office, the Jefferson Parish Attorney’s Office – Contracts Department, the Louisiana Civil Justice Center, and the New Orleans Museum of Art – Communications, Public Relations, and Marketing Department.

Prior to joining Leake & Andersson, Jessica served as an Attorney Advisor and Law Clerk to the Honorable Chief Judge Lee J. Romero, Jr. in the United States Department of Labor. She then moved into private practice, where she represented insurance companies and corporations in matters involving insurance defense and premise liability.

Jessica’s article, “A Study in Salvage,” was published in the Volume 18: Winter 2019 edition of the Loyola Maritime Journal. Her article, “Accio Due Process: Solving the Due Process Crisis in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” was published on the Loyola Law Review website. Her honors marketing thesis, “Buying Into the Magic – Brand Loyalty Among Disney Vacation Club Members,” was published through the University Honors Program and the College of Business on the Loyola University Monroe Library website.
