She later earned her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in 2015, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of law review from 2014-2015.

Cranay began her career in the private sector as a medical malpractice defense attorney, where she advocated for physicians, professional corporations, hospitals, residential healthcare facilities, surgery centers, and various other healthcare providers, safeguarding them against accusations of professional malpractice and negligence.

Prior to joining the firm, Cranay previously served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Louisiana Department of Justice. In this role, she defended the State of Louisiana and its agencies, officers, employees, and higher education institutions, universities, and boards of supervisors in litigation spanning from personal injury, automobile accidents, and premises liability to medical malpractice claims and civil rights litigation in both state and federal courts.

Cranay is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and is admitted to the United States Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Louisiana. She is also admitted to the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
