Adam Whitworth began working for Leake & Andersson after graduating from Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans in 2011. Adam received his juris doctor, magna cum laude from Loyola. At Loyola, Adam was recognized as a William L. Crowe Scholar, was a member of the Loyola Moot Court Staff and the copy and print editor of Loyola’s Maritime Law Journal. Prior to law school, Adam graduated from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business where he earned a B.B.A. in Economics.
Adam’s practice focuses primarily on the areas of products liability, toxic tort and environmental litigation, including asbestos, and insurance defense. He has successfully defended clients, including suppliers, manufacturers, employers and insurers in asbestos exposure claims. He has also successfully represented clients in cases involving premises liability, transportation litigation and commercial disputes.
In addition to his litigation practice, Adam works with the firm’s domestic and international trade and business transaction practice and has experience in areas including import/export transactions; business entity formation; international sales of goods and services; intellectual property matters; and antidumping, countervailing duty and other trade remedy proceedings.
