Philip E. Roberts was admitted to the practice of law in 1983 and after receiving his Juris Doctor degree from the Louisiana State University Law Center, he served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Byron Hebert of the Fifteenth Judicial District Court.
For more than twenty years, Phil practiced with Roy, Bivins, Judice, Roberts & Wartelle, PLC, until becoming a director in the Lafayette office of Leake & Andersson in 2007. His primary areas of practice include workers compensation, medical malpractice and general liability defense as well as commercial law.
Phil has been a featured speaker at various continuing education seminars on topics including workers compensation, civil litigation, medical malpractice and attorney ethics.
A member of the Lafayette Parish, Louisiana State and American Bar Associations, Phil has been admitted to practice before the Western and Middle United States District Courts of Louisiana as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
